NOR Colour Coded League

There is now only one event left in the NOR league, so things are starting to sort themselves out. To remind you of the rules, your best 4 scores over the season count, so if you don't have 3 scores on any one course by now, you're out of the running I'm afraid. In the latest tables, I have highlighted in yellow all those people with at least 3 scores. I have also added (in blue) scores for planners/controllers/organisers who are awarded 1 bonus score equal to their best throughout the season. I've only done this for people 'in the yellow', so if you think I've left you out, do let me know.
I have highlighted in orange those people who I think have an unassailable lead in their class. I am a maths teacher, so I may have got this wrong, but I think Michael, Tony and Leanne have won the brown, red and orange leagues. Congratulations.
With the last event being a score event, you may be wondering how that fits in to a colour coded league. To keep it simple, only people 'in the yellow' will score points. And you will only be competing against people in the same league as you. For example, on light green, whoever does best at Houghen out of Juliette, Wendy, Louise and John will get 50 pts, 2nd 49 pts, etc. While on orange, whoever does better out of Leanne and Sue will get 50 points.
It promises to be an exciting finish to the season, with several people still in with a shout of winning a title. On blue, John Ward holds a slender lead over Ian Shepherd. On green, Mark Fowler appears to have a comfortable lead, but Peter Walling could make a late charge from 6th place. And on light green, any of the 4 highlighted competitors could still win it.
See you at Houghen.

The NOR colour coded league will run annually from the first NOR colour coded event in the autumn to the last in the spring. The main details are as follows:
  • Each colour coded course from Orange to Brown has its own section; there will be no attempt to combine scores from different colours.
  • It will be up to you to choose which colour you run – this is purely voluntary! You can change colours from event to event if you wish.
  • There is no separation of male and female; all are part of the same colour table.
  • Scores will be given to all NOR runners (Orange to Brown) at all NOR colour coded events.
  • The league will run from the start of the autumn season to the end of the spring.
  • The Club Champs event will not count as we do not want this league to compete with the Champs event.
  • 50 points will be awarded to the highest placed NOR runner in each colour, 49 to the second, 48 to the third, and so on to the last-placed runner.
  • In this first season, the best 4 results for each runner will form their final score.
  • Organisers, planners and controllers will be allowed ONE fictitious score. This will equal their best result during the season.
  • The tables will be compiled by Glen Richardson as soon as possible after each event .
  • Results will be placed on the website and published in NORNews.
