Organiser’s Comments

Thanks to everyone who attended today’s event – especially those who helped at the event and prior to the day.

I hope you enjoyed Paul’s courses and didn’t get too lost.

As we were setting up the registration we were welcomed by many dogs and their owners, this was then closely followed by a group of people with very large remote-controlled vehicles, this was definitely not on my risk assessment!

I thought we had covered all bases but then I was informed there were elves, fairies, witches and wizards gathering on the Gurney Road carpark! Only in Norfolk. I hope none of you got caught up in their game.

Karen.

Controller’s Comments

Despite this event first being scheduled for October 2020 (which of course never actually happened), everything ended up seeming a bit rushed in the end.

Mousehold is a challenging little area with a host of potential control sites and Paul puts a lot of thought and effort into his planning, but that often means that there are some last-minute changes.  There were a couple of administrative errors, probably because I wasn’t checking things diligently enough, but I hope that this did not mar the event too much.

Karen did a great job liaising with the Council and the Mousehold Defenders so the event could go ahead as well as rallying all the volunteers needed for a successful event.  Luckily the recent wildfires did not affect the courses significantly and it was great that it was dry on the day, and all seemed to go okay.

Sarah.
