We had some notable results in the London City Race. Congratulations to Club Captain Glen Richardson on achieving 10th place in the Men’s Elite class. 13 NOR members joined an international field of nearly 1000 for the race centred on the infamous Barbican, everyone faced a bewildering array of staircases, escalators, walkways, tunnels and dead ends where previous experience of the Barbican was definitely a big advantage.
Peter Palmer Relays
Our juniors competed in Peter Palmer Relays at the weekend. This event is an early morning relay, and is designed to give juniors experience of night orienteering and overnight relays.
Sam Nicholls at the Peter Palmer Relays Barbara George – British Champion
Congratulations to Barbara George on becoming British Sprint Champion in the W80 class.
Other notable performances from the British Sprints were 5th place to Glen Richardson in M35 and 8th place to Ella Gilbert in W16.
