Event Organiser’s Comments

What a great turnout for the first event of the season. It was great to see so many new faces coming along to give orienteering a go.

There were lots of positive comments about the course that Dan G planned, this was his first go at being a Planner. On the longer courses competitors had a mix of forest and urban orienteering to keep them on their toes.

Thanks to all who volunteered to help, without you the club wouldn’t be able to put on these events.

See you at Blickling.

Karen.

Course Planner’s Comments

I thoroughly enjoyed my first time planning the courses. I was pleased that so many people responded positively to their runs. I tried to vary leg lengths, and yes, it was deliberate on the longer courses to plunge you into the technical urban area once you were getting tired, and see how you fared! I wanted to get White and Yellow courses to have a taste of going across country, hence the flagged routes which seemed to work.

Many thanks to my brother Paul, John Ward, and Dave Sparshott for the benefit of their experience.

Many thanks to Karen for making the role of planning good fun. I’ll definitely do it again, if I’m asked!!

Lastly, thanks to everyone who came and ran and made it all worthwhile.
