We were deeply saddened to hear that John Rushmer passed way on Sunday 22nd August. John was an active member of the club, planning many events and serving on the committee until quite recently. Our thoughts are with his family and friends. The following has been posted by his son, Tom.

It is with the heaviest of hearts to announce the passing of my wonderful dad John, who sadly died during the early hours of Sunday 22nd August. He has left an empty void in our lives.

His funeral arrangements have been confirmed today. The ceremony will be at 12pm in Swardeston Village Church on Friday 17th September. We would like anyone who knew him to know that they are welcome to attend. There will be a wake to celebrate his life at Swardeston Village Hall afterwards. If those wishing to attend could contact me or my mum in advance that would be great so we can get a rough idea of numbers. Thank you in advance.
