Over the weekend of 1st / 2nd July, our juniors made the 12 hour round trip to Northumberland to take part in the Yvette Baker Trophy Final. The event was hosted by NATO at Druridge Bay Country Park. All the courses started with controls in the strip of dunes next to the sea, ending with a loop round the park (see routegadget).
It is the first time in many years that NOR have made the final, so the team knew that the competition would be tough with teams from clubs such as South Yorkshire (SYO) and Lakeland (LOC) taking part. They put in a great performance to beat NATO and come just behind Happy Herts. Our best scorers were Katerina Skarkova coming 2nd on Green and Josh Kohler coming equal 4th on Orange.
